On-site live painting at your event in Santa Fe

Set the tone and spark creative energy with live painting at your group’s special event. Few experiences capture the spirit of Santa Fe quite like watching a landscape take shape in real time. Local painter, art historian, and tour guide Elaine Ritchel sets up her easel on site and paints a New Mexico–inspired landscape as your guests mingle, connect, and unwind. The process is relaxed and engaging, inviting curiosity and conversation.

Guests who feel inspired are welcome to add a brushstroke or two, making the artwork a shared experience!

How it Works

  • Prior to your event, Elaine completes a brief site visit to identify views to draw from.

  • She then prepares a large canvas in advance, blocking in basic forms so that guests arrive to an artwork already in motion.

  • Over the course of two hours, the painting continues to take shape as Elaine paints, chats with guests about Santa Fe’s art scene, and invites light participation.

The result is an immersive, memorable experience that feels distinctly local and thoughtfully paced.

Pricing

  • Live painting starts at $700 plus tax.

  • Includes two hours of live painting time, site visit, preparation, setup, and teardown.

  • For an additional fee, Elaine can complete the piece after the event for display in your office or corporate collection.
