Discover a "Sense of Place" in Santa Fe

Should you have the urge to get creative after one of our tours, we recommend booking an art workshop with local artist Lauren Mantecon. Together, the tour and workshop will leave you with a special sense of place.

We recommend getting inspired on a gallery tour first, and then heading to Lauren's studio to create. You may choose to book both the tour and workshop on the same day, or you might choose to extend the experience over the course of your visit to Santa Fe.

Art Gallery Tour (1.5-2 hours)
Savor the moment, take time to look closer, and begin cultivating a sense of place on the tour of your choice. Your guide, art historian Elaine Ritchel, specializes in interactive gallery tours that encourage deeper connections with art. Whether on Canyon Road or in the historic Plaza area, you’ll embark on a sensory journey through a curated selection of galleries, explore your personal responses to visual art.

Memory Painting Art Workshop (2 hours)
After your tour, create your own work of art in the bright and airy Santa Fe studio of artist Lauren Mantecon. Lauren expertly guides participants of all skill levels in the alchemy of mixed media an interplay with mark making, collage and painting. During this unique workshop, sip wine from a local winery and nibble on chocolate while you create a memory painting inspired by your gallery tour. There’s no greater souvenir than a personal momento of your own design.

Please note: Lauren's studio is about a 10-15 minute drive from our tour routes, so be sure to plan accordingly should you book a tour and workshop on the same day.
